Who?

Welcome to Alba HR Consultancy, founded by Erica Shanley.

The name Alba is a nod to Erica's Scottish roots as Alba is Scottish Gaelic for Scotland. The logo includes one of her favourite animals too, a Heelan coo (that's Highland cow to any non Scots!).

What we do

At Alba HR Consultancy we understand that the key to satisfied customers and a thriving businesses, is employees who are engaged and productive at work.

We specialise in supporting companies to create cultures which allow employees to use the talent that they were hired for, everyday. This is made possible by having great systems in place that encourage open communication, fairness and support.

We therefore help companies to introduce or improve tools such as robust recruitment and onboarding systems, employee surveys, life friendly policies and performance review systems, to name a few.

We can also assist with line manager development by delivering webinar based people management training.

History

Erica is an experienced Human Resources professional with 15 years’ experience comprising of people management, employee relations, operational HR and change management.

She is well equipped to support you and your business having worked in a number of industries including hospitality, luxury retail and food production.

Erica has a masters in HR Development and Level 7 CIPD qualified.

Erica prides herself in making HR related tasks as straightforward as possible, for all. During her career she has also enjoyed coaching people leaders so that they feel confident and empowered to support their team in all people related matters.

We are passionate about the benefits of having an HR function to work alongside your business. HR is what we do and it makes sense to us but we appreciate it's not everyones forte.

Sometimes, business leaders are so focused on the day to day operation that they forget real people, with their own expectations and challenges, are the ones who are making the business the success that it (hopefully) is.
